Most foods have some antioxidants, the anti-oxidants in vegetables protect cells from damage. But as these cells are destroyed the cells cannot divide and reproduce. So once destroyed, the nutrients cannot be replaced.

Of the foods, green plants are the most beneficial to our health. They contain beta-carotene, fiber, Vitamin C and iron. Blue and red berries contain more anti-oxidants than white varieties. Orangeruits contain Vitamin C and beta-carotene, and also potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and sodium. All of these colors are important for our body to function properly.
