I am going to discuss here a very important topic, the connection between the food we eat and the way we live. Did you know that the food we eat plays a large role in the way we live? The way we live is affected by the food we eat on a daily basis. In this article I want to discuss the way food affects our health and the effect of food on our body.
First I will start with the connection between food and stress. Stress creates feelings of anxiety and frustration, which in turn creates stress. Now, when you are under stress you tend to eat more carbohydrates. Stress promotes eating comfort foods, which are tasty and often full of sugar and fat. These comfort foods are often high in sugar and fats, such as Donuts, French Bread, and Potatoes.
Craving comfort foods and high carbohydrate cravings is a combination of two things. The first is stress. Under stress people are hungry. The need to eat, will fuel the need for comfort foods, which in turn will create stress. The second is our psychological tendency to eat in a way that makes it easy. People like to eat the same things over and over again. For example, people who live in crowded places usually eat the same things over and over again: convenience foods.
Moreover, in a fast-paced world, people are getting lazier. Studies have shown that people tend to eat less, when they have a choice between several options. In addition, people have a tendency to choose the familiar comforting foods, instead of challenging herself with new healthy foods. New finding often is not challenging, but we tend to give up when we hit a road bump.
Have you ever felt tired and were unable to get out of bed?
Did you know that many people can live without food for a few weeks? Some people are able to go days without food. People also are able to have very bad moods and become depressed after several days without eating.
Why do people eat convenience foods?
• They are quick. Our bodies are built in such a way that we should not be surprised at how long we can survive on uneaten, convenience foods.
• We have become concerned with our figure. Shape is more important to our satisfaction than sustenance.
• Most foods are made from easily digestible ingredients. Ingredients need not be available all the time.
• It is cheaper. This is one among many reasons why people eat convenience foods. It is cheaper to cook, and it is more convenient to eat.
• We can choose what we want to eat. Some people do not eat meat because they do not like the taste. There are also people who do not eat eggs for fear of getting an illness from it. There are also people who do not eat fish because they are too often overcooked.
• Most convenience foods are made from cheaper ingredients. When we cook these food, we are more likely to eat them, no matter how cheap they are.
• Most organic foods are also cheaper than other food. When you buy meat, for example, you are spending more than $10 on a piece of meat. But if you buy organic meat, you can cut your cost next to zero.
• Eating out is cheaper than eating at home. When you buy restaurant food, you are almost always paying for drinks, desserts, and tips. Eating home can be quite expensive.
• Eating out is more convenient than cooking. When you do not have to spend time cooking, you can eat out more often.
• You can get a job while eating. Usually, when we think of eating out, we think of a place to go, eat food, and have someone to talk to while we are there. But there is also another reason — if you are alone and want to eat out with your family, it is easier to get everyone together to eat at home.
And the benefits of eating out while eating better than cooking:
• Studies show that eating in a group setting can make us feel happier and have better concentration. When you are eating by yourself, you tend to eat more in isolation. Therefore, eating alone can make you feel more satisfied and confident, which can lead to better concentration.
• People from different cultures have different eating habits. While some people like to eat refined food, others may want to eat organic food. And one of the latter people is the vegan, who doesn’t eat or consume anything that has been cultivated.
• The best example of sustainable eating is being organic. This is probably the most important reason to eat organic food. Organic food not only reduces the cost of it, but also ensures that the food produced is authentic and was grown naturally.
• Farms that follow organic principles build up the local economy of their communities.
